Before entering the sea, you’ll practise in our heated outdoor pool at 27°C — no currents, no depth, at your own pace. Only when you feel ready do you take the next step.

Our heated 27°C pool is your practice zone. No rush, no depth. When you’re ready — and only then — you head to the sea.
Your own instructor, not a group leader
Maximum 4 people per instructor. Someone who knows your name, reads how you’re feeling and adjusts the pace for you — not for the group.
A real dive in the Mediterranean
Warm water, no currents, visibility of up to 30 metres. Malta is one of the best places in Europe to dive for the first time — and you’ll feel it.
How your day works
Step 1 — Arrive and meet your instructor
At our centre in St. Paul’s Bay. We’ll walk you through everything: how to breathe underwater, basic hand signals and how to use the equipment. No jargon, no rush.
Step 2 — Practise in the heated pool
27°C, no waves, no depth. This is where you build confidence. Only when you feel ready do we move on.
Step 3 — Dive the Mediterranean
With your instructor beside you at all times, you’ll explore Malta’s crystal-clear waters down to 12 metres. Fish, rocks, light filtering through the water. An experience you won’t forget.

We’re not a tourist factory. Maximum 4 people per instructor is how we operate — and in July and August spots go weeks in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
You don’t need to be a strong swimmer. You do need to feel comfortable in water. The pool session will help you build confidence before you reach the sea.
Is it safe if I’ve never dived before?
Yes. Malta’s Mediterranean is ideal for beginners — warm water, no currents and excellent visibility. Your instructor will be beside you the entire time.
How do I choose my date?
During checkout you can enter the days you’ll be in Malta. We’ll confirm availability by email within 24 hours.
Can I cancel if my plans change?
Yes. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your dive. Send an email to info@okdivingmalta.com with your order number.

Please check our medical form before booking. The form is filled in at the centre on the day of the activity. If you answer Yes to any question marked with an asterisk, you will need a medical certificate to dive.
